    Oxygen And Carbon Dioxide Headspace Measurement For modified Atmosphere Packaged (MAP) Product

    These highly advanced instruments are equipped with integral sampling systems, unique, miniature, long-life, zirconia and infrared sensors, and microprocessor control to deliver the most accurate and repeatable performance possible.

    The internal microprocessor manages calibration, autoranging, flow control, test duration and many other functions to ensure consistent, error-free results. One touch automated calibration and product analysis make these analyzers easy to use. Response is typically less than five seconds for oxygen and ten seconds for carbon dioxide.

    The new more compact corrosion resistant enclosure minimizes the required foot print space on carts and table tops.

    Automated package sampling is easy. Measurement duration is user selectable which provides great flexibility for a large variety of products. Using the sample wand, insert the sampling needle into the package and press test. The instrument does the rest; extracting the sample, analyzing sensor output and holding the results for viewing on the bright autoranging display.

    This carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen (O2) headspace analyzer provides consistently reliable results and simplicity in operation allowing you to maximise your production efficiency. Its large buttons and clear display ensures testing is simple, errors are eliminated and no special operator training is required.

    Numerous packs can be tested quickly with just one button press, saving time and making Quality Assurance more efficient. These MAP analyzers can test all pack sizes and very low volumes.

    Rigid cans and jars can also be tested using the simple-to-use can piercing station which supports the cans and jars for accurate analysis using a standard needle probe. A 45° Adaptor is also available to aid measurement of small volumes of headspace.

    The 7000 water vapor analyzer range utilises the sensitive and stable P2O5 sensor for absolute moisture measurement. These water vapor analyzers offer a wide measurement range of 0.002-1000 g/m²/day and precision temperature, humidity and flow control.     Dilatometry measures the change in size of a sample as a function of temperature. In addition to directly determining the thermal expansion of the sample, the change in size also provides information about phase transitions and physical or chemical changes in the microstructure. These can be identified by the associated changes in density and rate of expansion of the material. Dilatometry is also an extremely useful method for evaluating the sintering behavior of materials, as it records both the shrinkage of a sintered sample and the temperatures required to achieve this change. This analysis allows optimization of workpiece shapes and processing temperatures, improvement of product quality and reduction of costs.

    Dilatometry is a method for measuring changes in a sample’s size as it’s heated or cooled. It can provide information about phase transitions and changes in the sample’s structure.

    The TA Instruments dilatometers, including DIL806 and ODP868, use an optical measurement method to evaluate the shadow width of a sample placed horizontally inside a furnace. This method is free of external contact forces, making it ideal for measuring soft, fragile, or small samples that may be damaged or difficult to handle in a pushrod dilatometer.

    The DIL806 can measure samples in various atmospheres and cover temperatures from -150°C to 1400°C. The ODP868 can analyze samples’ dimensions, shape, and bending up to 1650°C. Optical dilatometry offers high resolution and accuracy similar to a pushrod dilatometer, making it an optimal method for measuring challenging samples.

    Adding the 3rd Dimension to Thermogravimetry

    Standard thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is frequently applied to measure the weight of a material as function of temperature, but standard TGA does not provide sufficient information under extreme conditions. Many materials are exposed to not only high pressure, but also humidity or reactive gas atmospheres in their normal use. In these cases, testing materials with high-pressure TGA provides a genuine assessment of stability, decomposition and lifetime.
