Hielscher ultrasonic laboratory devices are compact, easy-to-use and extremely versatile. They can be used for the processing of a variety of organic and inorganic materials in a wide range of volumes. Typical applications of ultrasonic homogenizers include sample preparation, disintegrating and cell lysis, homogenizing, dispersing and disaggregation, particle size reduction and the acceleration of chemical reactions (sonochemistry). Hielscher offers a wide range of ultrasonic homogenizers to be used for these applications in a wide range of volumes from approx. 50µL to 2000mL. Debubblers utilize a porous Poridex membrane to rapidly clear bubblers from locations where bubble introduction cannot be avoided. When Poridex is used as a degassing transfer line tail it can also remove dissolved gases in locations where a standard degassing chamber won’t fit. Due to the porous nature of Poridex it can only be used with water based solutions without detergents or emulsifiers.

The Chemically Resistant, Oil-Free Diaphragm Vacuum Pump

The Mini Diaphragm Vacuum Pump is a chemically resistant, oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump used for a wide range of laboratory applications. It features a PPS head, PTFE-coated diaphragm and FFPM valves.

Measures the ability of a grease to protect a bearing against corrosion in the presence of water. Two sets of grease-coated bearings per station are partially immersed in water and rotated at a speed of 80 rpm in a sequence of running and resting periods. At the end of the test, the raceways of the bearing outer rings are inspected for rust.

For evaluation of the lubricity of diesel fuels using a high-frequency reciprocating rig (HFRR). A 2-mL test specimen of fuel is placed in the test reservoir and maintained at 25 or 60°C. When the temperature has stabilized, a vibrator arm holding a non-rotating steel ball and loaded with a 200-g mass is lowered until it contacts a test disk completely submerged in the fuel.
