One of the sensitive parameters in Field-Flow Fractionation is the preparation and stabilization of the eluent. As in basically any aqueous media microorganisms will grow during a period of time, which can cause serious problems.

The PN7205 UV Disinfection Module is designed to solve that problem by providing eluents for constant sterile conditions. It is a unique automatic and continuously working cleaning device for FFF eluents and preserves the sterile condition of any aqueous solvent.

Solvent degassing is an critical and important step in FFF, SEC and HPLC, as oxygen and other dissolved gases affect the analysis for various reasons. Because of different pressure ratios and different temperatures along the flow path, dissolved gases can be released. This will influence the flow rate stability and detector signal noise of the analysis. Especially for analysis methods using Light Scattering, UV and RI, vacuum degassing method allows an operation with lowest possible detection limits due to more smooth and stable baseline conditions.
