Nanotech – CNC machine – 700UPF
The 700UPF is a 2-axis ultra-precision CNC fly-cutting machine manufactured by Moore Nanotechnology Systems. It is primarily used for planar optical machining. An optional air-bearing A-axis allows the 700UPF to be easily upgraded to a 3-axis machine.

The 700UPF is equipped with a high-efficiency horizontal slide module, making it particularly suitable for high-volume production of large-diameter parts. It inherits many design features and components from the industry-leading 450UPL and 350FG diamond turning machines, such as box-style hydrostatic bearing slides with high rigidity, an X-axis linear motor drive, an adaptively balanced Z-axis with a preloaded ball screw, self-balancing air dampers, and Moore’s exclusive ISO 5.5 bidirectional air-bearing spindle with 10,000 RPM runout compensation.

- PC-compatible CNC motion controller with Windows operating system, programming resolution of 0.01 nanometer (0.0004 µ”).
- Box-style hydrostatic bearing slides, Z-axis travel: 300 mm, X-axis travel: 710 mm.
- Air-bearing adaptive balancer mounted on the vertical axis (Z-axis) to optimize servo performance.
- Maximum fly-cutting tool fixture swing diameter: 350 mm.
- 10,000 RPM “heavy-duty” air-bearing spindle mounted on the Z-axis (vertical axis) sliding carriage (optional liquid cooling system available).
- Self-balancing air isolation system.
- Optional features include: Various fly-cutting tool fixtures, mist cooling system, spindle chiller, CNC-controlled and tilt-adjustable B-axis, CNC-controlled air-bearing A-axis for multi-angle operations, and a temperature control system.
