This machine is available in two versions: the HDL2000-SD and HDL2000-HD. These are extra large capacity ultra-precision machining systems used for single point diamond turning advanced optical surfaces along the diameter of large generation drums. This machine accepts drums up to 650mm diameter and 3100mm long (between chuck faces) with a weight capacity of 1800 Kg (3000 Kg on HD version). Maximum optical cutting zone length is 2600mm.

The machine features our latest advancements in “precision engineered” designs and components. These include ultra stiff oil hydrostatic bearing slide ways and state-of-the-art dual “iron-less” linear motor drives which eliminate any backlash or hysteresis in the axis motion. The base is designed for high damping, thermal compatibility with the slide components and for long life corrosion resistance against cutting fluids. It has been engineered as a single monolithic structure with an enclosed bridge to provide maximum structural stiffness both statically and dynamically in order to optimize complex roughing and finishing operations while achieving a much higher geometric accuracy.

SHARK is a high speed machining centre line with a fixed bed and a movable column. Being designed by means of the calculation of finite elements for machine structures (FEM), the machine represents an optimised development assuring rigidity and vibration dumping during movements. In addition to that low friction rates and high axes acceleration values are important features which allow high dynamical performances in finishing and at the same time in roughing: a big advantage in reducing production costs during machining process.

The model ACTIVE FIVE is a high speed working center with fixed portal and mobile table solution characterized by a very compact and ergonomic line.

TWIN CONCEPT is a line of high speed milling machines characterized by fixed and mobile bench, which varies from the double working area (patented) for independent machinings with 3-4-5 axes to the machinings of pieces with 3-4 independent axes or with 5 axes at the same time time (patented) to complete the machinings of “twin” pieces with machinings to 3-4-5 axes. Having been projected through the calculation to ended elements, FEM, TWIN CONCEPT introduces all the good characteristics that countersign the OMV products.

ELECTRA is a very versatile floor type high dynamic milling machine featuring high technology solutions. Wide range of configurations on multiple axis, modularity on travels and various accessories (milling heads, heads auto change, rotary tables, ATCs, automation). The machine is ideal for roughing and finishing operation on medium and large parts and can be installed in mould and die operations, aeronautic and power generation industry as well as in general job shops.
