SMASHER® is a high performance bag blender, that ensures sample homogeneity before microbial detection or identification tests. This innovative automated system is part of a complete sample prep solution which offers fully automated systems for food microbiology laboratories: Dilumat for automated sample dilution, and Masterclave range for culture media and broth preparation.

SMASHER® system relies on the patented Smash technique. It crushes the sample in record time and then automatically adjusts its mixing speed for a perfectly homogenised enrichment broth.

A study conducted by an independent laboratory showed that the SMASHER® tested at 15 and 30 second blending times made it possible to obtain results similar to those of the compared blender tested at 60 second blending time.

The API®/ID32 range is the ideal solution if you seek a simplified and standardized identification method. It is the miniaturized version of the current existing identification techniques with ISO 7218 compliant. Including 15 identification systems covering more than 600 bacteria species, the API®/ID32 solution is the reference in identification.

Fully automated microbial identification system increased productivity & safety, full traceability and rapid results. VITEK® 2 Compact includes an extended identification database, which enables you to detect a larger range of microorganisms. All identification stages from reading to the recording of results are automated, optimizing workflow. As the system operates with bar-coded cards, full traceability is ensured and the risk of transcription errors is minimized. The efficiency of the VITEK® 2 Compact system relies on the advanced colorimetry technology: the system reads the latest generation VITEK®test cards – containing 64 wells to ensure accuracy – every 15 minutes using three different wavelengths. With this technique, more data is analyzed, which increases results accuracy. With this system, both set-up and response time are reduced – time to result from 2 to 18 hours .
